Kununurra Backpackers is just a short walk from the town center. The hostel “village” has large tropical gardens with water features, dining areas, a swimming pool, a BBQ area and hammocks. Kelly’s Knob, with its stunning ever-changing colours, is the backdrop to the hostel and gives you a taste of what the Kimberley’s has to offer. There is plenty of space to move, with a relaxed “home away from home” atmosphere for international travellers. It’s the perfect place to get away from it all after exploring the exciting Kimberley’s or a hard days work.

The rooms are clean, comfortable, all with ceiling fans and air-conditioning. All bathroom amenities are shared and there is a large fully equipped communal kitchen. Other facilities include an internet room with

Kununurra Backpackers is the only true working hostel in Kununurra and can assist/place working holiday visa holders in harvest jobs, through Regional Labour Hire. Seasonal fruit picking/harvest work is available during the dry season (April – October) each year.
