Based in the city centre, you may explore the area’s naturally gifted surroundings, which include magnificent beaches, Aboriginal driving paths, and even a pink lake. Geraldton is also an excellent location for exploring the Coral Coast’s carpets of wildflowers, which bloom in late winter and early spring.
Explore Nambung National Park
Drive a couple of hours north on Route 60 from Perth and you’ll find yourself in Nambung National Park by the shore, the ancient homeland of the Yued people. Nambung National Park is recognized for its stunning beaches at Kangaroo Point and Hangover Bay, coastal dune systems, and low heathland rich in floral plants, in addition to the amazing Pinnacles Deserts.

A popular resort town for ocean adventurers and hikers, Kalbarri is a straight 1.75-hour drive from Geraldton along National Route 1 and George Grey Drive. Stop for a breather to admire the pink lake (Hutt Lagoon) near Port Gregory then continue up the stunning coastline to Kalbarri. Afterward, take Ajana-Kalbarri Road east to rejoin the highway north.
