Red Earth Safaris started its adventure in 1995.  Currently owned and operated by Darren and Nicola.  Being a small, family-run company working from their home, they can show you the best of what the West Coast has to offer on backpacker tours in Western Australia, between Perth and Exmouth, while still keeping prices reasonable.

Red Earth Safaris provide tours which operate from Perth to Exmouth and return. Taking the time to show you all the points of interest on the way up and making sure we see them at the right time of the day to appreciate the full splendor that mother nature has to offer.

The tours are designed not to be rushed, to ensure you can spend the time needed to absorb all that is around you – prepare to see and experience a lot, without feeling hurried.

The Red Earth Experience

The tours are ‘no frills’ west coast experiences. All accommodation is in Backpackers/Budget Motels. While conditions can be basic, this is all part of the adventure.  We stay in dormitory accommodation that may be mixed gender.  Upgrades to single/twin/double are available at an extra cost – except at the farm-stay where we enjoy our outback experience.The trips require a moderate level of fitness as they involve a fair bit of walking. The hike in Kalbarri National Park can be challenging. Please bring comfortable walking shoes.On some days of the trip, you will spend several hours driving, often through very sparse areas of the outback. Sit back, relax, listen to music and enjoy landscapes that you would miss in any other form of transport.Temperatures in Western Australia can be extreme. During the day the weather can be hot (and the Australian sun is strong) so please bring appropriate clothing, use sun protection and drink plenty of water. In the evenings temperatures can drop, so bring a jumper/sweater.Primarily a budget backpacker tour for the young and young at heart.  Come prepared for an adventure!
