Here’s our selection of the best restaurants in Perth

Rockpool Bar & Grill

Housed in the famous Crown Casino, the Rockpool Bar and Grill is set amidst plush surroundings of beautiful drapes and candle lit hallways. Unlike other restaurants in Perth, this one belonging to celebrity Chef Neil Perry, will definitely offer a memorable dining experience. The restaurant offers traditionalistic dishes done to perfection. Steaks are king here and it is recommended that diners try their signatures steak with bearnaise sauce.

The wood fired grill is another unique feature about this bar and grill and undoubtedly adds to the flavour of its juicy steaks. Along with its steaks, creamy potato gratin is another  dish. The bar offers a comprehensive list of more than a 1000 odd wines from across the globe and from those sourced in Australia.

Vasse Felix

Considered as one of the best wineries in Margret River, a visit to Vasse Felix is definitely a worthy mention on a Things to do in Perth list. As one of the area’s first vineyards, the Vasse Felix has alot of history behind its name, not to mention some delightful wines to savour. The winery also hosts its own restaurant and in 2017 the winery celebrated its  50th anniversary with a host of activities including new additions to its menu.

Carefully crafted by head chef Brendan Pratt, the Vasse Felix restaurant serves up some exotic duck with pastrami, beef accompanied with root of parsley and desserts inspired from the Asian region. While the restaurant is where diners head for their perfect pairing of wine and food, the venue also hosts an art gallery cum tasting bar.

The Old Crow

A  hidden gem in Newcastle Street, The Old Crow is where diners come to get over their hankering for authentic American comfort food. Only a few of the best restaurants in Perth can nail those smoking flavoured dishes typical of a Creole kitchen, where even the vegan dishes are much sought after. Coming highly recommended are the char grilled Brussel sprouts, dipped in chilli jam served with pine nuts and pepitas.

Other dishes to try out include the pork crackling and the Tennesse pork sausage. The dining at the Old Crow is laidback and cosy. The seating in the courtyard is also the perfect place to spend a lazy afternoon with a plate of crunchy buttermilk fried chicken.

The Beach Club

The Beach Club, decked out in a Hamptons-style outfit, may be your best pick if you’re searching for the top beach restaurants in Perth, which are located on Cottesloe Beach. Also, recent renovations have given the club a fresh new design, with bright yellow chairs and tiled worktops creating a soothing environment perfect for lounging under the club’s beach umbrellas. Constantly abuzz with activities and diners, the open air space of the beach club, offers loungers as well as little cosy corners to while away the hours.

Beach side oysters or local octopus are a favourite amongst beach gathering families. Diners should also head down to the restaurant housed within its premises for its signature wine-braised pork tagliatelle.
