One of the city’s most anticipated art festivals will return for its 10th anniversary this season. For three months during winter, various venues in the city will display a wide array of works of art, music, theatre and dance, by some of Australia’s most iconic artists along with international performers. More than 60 art organisations, businesses and artists, both established names and independent, will put on over 150 exciting shows and performances across the city during the festival, guaranteeing top notch entertainment to keep you warm during the chilly months.

Good Food and Wine Show

While everyone enjoys good food and wine, hardcore foodies and wine connoisseurs simply can’t afford to miss this year’s Good Food and Wine Show. As Australia’s largest food and wine exhibition, the Good Food and Wine Show will feature the country’s top chefs and restaurateurs at the Perth Convention & Exhibition Centre. Wine lovers will find paradise in the Cellar Door, which will provide a class in wine appreciation and have a variety of wine available for tasting. The best part is general admission tickets are just $35pp.

Xtreme Ice Arena

What is winter without ice? Perth’s winter may have no snow, but that doesn’t mean you can’t stick on your skates and perfect your arabesque or besti squat! Head to the Xtreme Ice Arena in Mirrabooka, Perth’s newest ice arena, and get ready to skate your way along the ice. Watch out for the arena’s special promotion every Tuesday where you can skate for as long as you like for only $10. Also, on the second Saturday of every month, the arena holds the Retro Rewind where you can party on ice while enjoying your favourite tracks from the 1980s and 1990s with prizes for the best dressed!

Ice Hockey Classic – USA vs Canada

The North American National Hockey League’s (NHL) biggest stars such as Michael Latta (Washington Capital Centres) and Erik Condra (Ottawa Senators) will head Down Under this winter for the inaugural Ice Hockey Classic, featuring two of the biggest hockey nations, Canada and the USA, playing four games across Australia in June in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth. For those in Perth, get ready to watch world-class hockey action up close at Perth Arena on 20th June, and experience the real winter spirit like never before in the company of exceptional athletes.
